Tangail, July 4 (V7N) - Anik Dutta, a 16-year-old from Dashlia village in Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha district, is fighting for his life as both of his kidneys have failed. His father, Bishwajit Dutta, passed away when Anik was just two years old. Since then, his one-handed mother, Beauty Rani Dutta, has been raising him alone under extremely challenging conditions.
 
After being denied shelter at their paternal home, Anik and his mother sought refuge at her father's house. Even there, life offered no relief — surrounded by hardship and financial strain, they struggled on. When Anik was preparing for his SSC exams, the devastating diagnosis of kidney failure came.
 
Without any land or property of their own, the family survives solely on Beauty Rani’s minimal income and the generosity of neighbors and relatives. Since 2022, sporadic donations have helped cover Anik’s regular dialysis treatments. But now, even that support is dwindling, and the family is at a breaking point.
 
Despite his condition, Anik tried to continue his education, but the burden of illness and financial despair has become overwhelming.
