Dhaka, Nov 06 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed the official names of the franchises for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025–26 season, announcing that no franchise can change its name even if ownership changes. The announcement was made on Thursday (November 6).

Of the five teams participating this season, Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders retain their names. Dhaka Capitals will be managed by Remark Harlen, while Rangpur Riders will remain under Bashundhara Kings.

The Chittagong franchise, now owned by Triangle Services Limited, will compete as Chittagong Royals. Rajshahi Warriors is the new name for the Rajshahi team, acquired by Nabil Group, and Sylhet Titans will continue under the ownership of Cricket with Sami.

The players’ draft is scheduled for November 17, and the 12th season of the BPL will start in the second week of December, concluding in mid-January.

The BPL Governing Council expressed optimism that the new owners will bring fresh energy to their teams, promising star-studded lineups and thrilling competition for cricket fans.
