Dhaka, Nov 11 (V7N) — Foreign Affairs Advisor Touhid Hossain has dismissed as “baseless” the reports in Indian media implicating Bangladesh in the recent Delhi car bomb attack, saying that India blames Bangladesh whenever it gets an opportunity.
Speaking to reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, Touhid Hossain said, “The allegations made by a section of Indian media are completely unfounded. No one will believe such claims.”
Addressing questions about Bangladesh’s defense relations, he clarified, “We have not leaned toward any particular country in purchasing weapons from China. Bangladesh maintains a balanced foreign policy and friendly ties with all nations.”
Commenting on the upcoming verdict in Sheikh Hasina’s crimes against humanity case, the advisor said, “Anyone can appeal to the United Nations regarding the verdict. If the UN issues any observation, Dhaka will act accordingly.”
Earlier, at least 13 people were killed and several others injured in a car bomb explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi. Some Indian outlets have alleged a Bangladesh link to the attack, a claim Dhaka has firmly rejected.
