Rangamati, Nov 07 (V7N) – As part of ‘Operation Devil Hunt,’ police from Kotwali Thana have arrested a Swechasebak League leader from Rangamati town. The arrested individual has been identified as Mohammad Sumon Parvez, 38, who serves as the Organizational Secretary of Borokal Thana Swechasebak League.

Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Sahed Uddin stated that the operation was conducted early Friday morning in the Bhedbhedi area of Rangamati town. “During the raid, Mohammad Sumon Parvez was taken into custody. Legal proceedings against him are currently underway,” he said.

He further added that Sumon Parvez faces multiple allegations, including sabotage, and is being interrogated as part of ongoing investigations.

Authorities have emphasized that the operation is part of a broader initiative to maintain law and order in Rangamati and ensure accountability for criminal activities in the region.
