DHAKA, JUL, 23 (V7N) – The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations that were postponed following the tragic training jet crash into Milestone School and College in Uttara, Dhaka, have now been rescheduled. The exams originally slated for July 22 and July 24 will now take place on August 17 and August 19, respectively.

This announcement was made today in a letter signed by Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider, Controller of Examinations for the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board and Convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Regulatory Committee.

The letter also confirmed that the practical examinations have been postponed as a result of the written examination date changes. Practical exams must now be completed between August 21 and August 31. Furthermore, the practical marks must be entered online by September 3, and the practical answer sheets, signatures, and other relevant documents are to be submitted to the officer-in-charge or their representative, arranged according to roll number, as per the Board's Examination Controller's instructions.

The decision to postpone the exams was a direct response to the devastating aircraft crash that occurred on Monday, July 21, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries among students and staff at Milestone School and College. The incident prompted a national day of mourning and widespread calls for the postponement of the ongoing HSC exams.
