Keraniganj, Aug 14 (V7N) – In a remarkable effort to support low- and fixed-income earners, a local shop in Keraniganj’s Kadamtoli Golam Bazar area has started selling beef at just Tk 100 per kilogram, drastically lower than the prevailing market price of around Tk 800 per kilogram.

Liton, a resident and founder of “Bondhu Mohol Gost Bitan,” explained the motivation behind this initiative. “Many daily wage workers cannot afford meat due to high prices. I saw a laborer being refused when trying to buy beef priced at Tk 200, which inspired me to open this shop to serve those struggling financially,” he said.

The shop aims to provide affordable, quality beef to marginalized communities, ensuring access to nutritious food for families with limited means.

This initiative highlights the ongoing economic challenges faced by the urban poor and demonstrates how local entrepreneurs can make a tangible difference in community welfare.
