Rangamati, July 15 (V7N) - Leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s student wing held a protest march in Rangamati city to condemn attempts by a secret organization to disrupt law and order, create public unrest, and disturb the educational environment.

The protest began on Monday afternoon from the party office under the leadership of Faruk Hossain Sabbir, President of the Rangamati District Jatiyatabadi Chatra Dal (JCD), and General Secretary Ali Akbar Suman. Hundreds of activists from various wards, municipal, police station, college, and technical university units joined the march, which proceeded along the Rangamati-Chattogram road and concluded with a gathering near Bonruppas Petrol Pump.

At the rally, speakers including Sabbir, Suman, and student leaders Fazlu, Oli Ahad, Khairul Islam, Bashar, Shakil, and Omar Morshed addressed the crowd. The atmosphere was charged with banners, festoons, and slogans, reflecting deep anger and protest among the attendees.

The student leaders accused a secret organization of attempting to destabilize the country. They alleged that banned groups such as the student wing of the Awami League and members of Jamaat-Shibir are now involved in terrorist activities, threatening the future of the younger generation.

Speaking on the party leader Tarique Rahman, the leaders stated there would be no compromise, highlighting the unmatched sacrifices of the Zia family in establishing democracy. They warned that any false accusations against Tarique Rahman would lead to serious consequences. They also declared a firm stance against any attempts to cause disturbances under any banned or extremist group banner in Rangamati, pledging to hand over perpetrators to the police and respond strongly.

This demonstration reflects ongoing political tensions and concerns over law and order and educational disruption in the region.
