Dhaka, Dec 20 (V7N) — Inquilab Mancha has announced that its spokesperson and July uprising martyr, Sharif Osman bin Hadi, will be laid to rest beside the mausoleum of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in Dhaka.
The announcement was made through a post on Inquilab Mancha’s official Facebook page on Friday, December 19. According to the post, the vehicle carrying the body of martyr Osman Hadi departed from the airport for a mortuary facility. Inquilab Mancha activists were scheduled to gather at Shahbag after placing the body there.
The post stated that, in line with the family’s wishes, a decision has been taken to bury martyr Osman Hadi beside the grave of Kazi Nazrul Islam. His funeral prayer will be held after Zuhr at Manik Mia Avenue. As a result of this decision, the planned procession has been rescheduled, and the body will be brought to the Central Mosque with a procession on the following day instead of Friday.
Inquilab Mancha also called on students and members of the public to continue their movement in a disciplined manner on both days, urging vigilance so that no group can infiltrate or attempt to weaken the movement or exploit the situation to incite violence.
The statement further clarified that there will be no opportunity for the public to view the body. The organization appealed to all to maintain discipline and offer prayers for the departed soul of martyr Osman Hadi.
