Dhaka, Dec 14 (V7N) — The results of the MBBS and BDS admission tests for the 2025-26 academic year in government and private medical and dental colleges have been officially published. This year, the pass rate stands at 66.57 percent, with Jahangir Alam Shanto achieving the highest national merit score of 91.25.

The Directorate of Health Education announced the results in a notification on Sunday afternoon, confirming that the entire evaluation process—from application processing, answer sheet assessment, result finalization to re-monitoring—was conducted digitally. Answer sheets were checked using OMR or ICR machines, ensuring a transparent and efficient process.

For admission, seats have been allocated according to national merit and candidate preference, with selections made from general seats as well as reserved categories. The authorities have automatically assigned colleges to candidates based on their merit and preference. Candidates can check their results on the following official portals:

The admission test was held on Friday, December 12, from 10:00 am to 11:15 am at 17 centers and 49 venues across the country, with 98.22 percent of registered candidates attending.

This year, a total of 13,051 seats were available in government and private medical and dental colleges, including 5,100 MBBS and 545 BDS seats in government colleges, and 6,01 MBBS and 1,405 BDS seats in private colleges. The total number of applicants was 122,632.

The announcement of the results marks the first step toward building the next generation of medical professionals in Bangladesh, reflecting both merit-based selection and digital transparency in the admission process.
