Dhaka, July 10 (V7N) - Due to worsening flood conditions, the HSC and equivalent examinations scheduled for Thursday (July 10) under the Cumilla Education Board, Madrasa Education Board, and Technical Education Board have been postponed. The decision was announced late Wednesday night through separate official notices issued by the respective boards.
The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee stated that severe rainfall and upstream water flow have inundated around 30 villages in two upazilas of Feni district. As a result, Thursday’s scheduled HSC exams under the Cumilla Board have been suspended. However, examinations under the remaining eight general education boards will proceed as planned. A revised schedule for the postponed exams will be announced later.
According to the notice from the Madrasa Education Board, the Alim English second paper exam scheduled for July 10 has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.
In a separate notice, the Bangladesh Technical Education Board also announced that all examinations scheduled for the same day have been suspended due to unavoidable reasons.
This year’s HSC and equivalent exams began on June 26 and will continue with theoretical tests until August 10. Practical exams are scheduled to be held between August 11 and August 21.
A total of 1,251,111 students have registered for the 2025 HSC and equivalent exams under nine general boards, along with the Madrasa and Technical boards. The number of examinees has decreased by 81,882 compared to the previous year.
