Netrakona, July 13 (V7N) — In response to the Midford murder case and the rising incidents of extortion, land grabbing, terrorism, and murders under political patronage, a protest march and rally was held by the "Da Red July" Netrakona District Committee at 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The event, organized as part of nationwide protests, took place at the Teri Bazaar intersection (in front of the post office) in Netrakona, where a large number of students, citizens, and activists gathered. The protest was marked by the passionate voices of citizens calling for justice and an end to political corruption and violence.

Speakers at the event included Mymensingh Division's Coordinator Akash Abhi, Division Chief Coordinator Sohanur Rahman Sohan, Netrakona District Committee Convener Ahsan Jisan, Rofiqul Islam Subho of the Citizens Committee, and several student organization leaders from Netrakona.

Key Points from the Protest:

The protesters condemned the political shelter given to criminals and the failure of the authorities to bring justice to publicized murders.

"We are witnessing that criminals continue to escape justice under political protection. If there is no justice for these open murders, this situation will persist," said a speaker.

The rally ended with a march through the city's main streets, culminating at the Press Club.

At the conclusion of the protest, the Netrakona District Committee issued a statement: "This protest is a united, courageous voice of students and citizens against oppression and injustice. Inspired by the spirit of July, our struggle will continue."

The protest served as a powerful reminder of the public's determination to challenge the growing political violence and demand justice for the victims of these crimes.
