Dhaka, Feb 25 (V7N)- A total of 68,768 students have been selected for various scholarships across Bangladesh, including junior scholarships, the Education Ministry announced on Wednesday.

Out of these, 46,200 students from nine general education boards have been awarded junior scholarships, including 14,700 merit scholarships and 31,500 general scholarships.

In addition:

  • 11,180 students have been selected for the Dakhil (eighth grade) scholarship under the Madrasa Education Board.

  • 11,180 students have been selected for the Ebtedayi (fifth grade) scholarship.

  • 208 students have been selected for the Technical Education Board's JS and JD scholarships.

Scholarship benefits:

  • Merit scholarships: One-time payment of Tk 560 and a monthly stipend of Tk 450.

  • General scholarships: One-time payment of Tk 350 and a monthly stipend of Tk 300.

  • The benefits will continue for two years.

The results were announced by Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon and State Minister for Education Bobby Hajjaj at the Secretariat. The junior scholarship exams were held from December 28, 2025, to January 5, 2026.

How to check the results:

  1. Online: Visit the Department of Primary Education website, go to the “Scholarship Result” option, and enter your roll number and year 2026.

  2. SMS: Type Board name + Roll number + 2026 and send to 16222. The result will be sent via return SMS.

This year’s scholarships aim to encourage students across general, madrasa, and technical education streams.
