DHAKA, Feb 22, (V7N) - Primary and Mass Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon today urged officials to break away from outdated thinking and build a modern, time-befitting primary education system.
Speaking as chief guest at an introductory meeting with ministry officials at the Secretariat, he said the national education system must adopt creative and modern approaches to remain effective and relevant.
State Minister Bobby Hajjaj was present at the meeting. Milon emphasized transparency and good governance, noting that corruption-free administration must extend beyond the Secretariat to every department and agency. He said visible and sustainable changes in primary education through good governance are a key objective of the government.
Highlighting the importance of primary education as the foundation of overall development, Bobby Hajjaj said quality has long failed to meet expectations. He stressed that sustainable progress in the education system is not possible without improving standards at the primary level.
Joint Secretary Nurun Nahar presented a PowerPoint outlining the ministry’s activities, projects, and future plans. Primary and Mass Education Secretary Abu Taher Md Masud Rana and senior officials also attended.
