DHAKA, June 28 (V7N)– Professor S M Kamal Uddin Hayder, Controller of the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, today announced that Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) candidates will be allowed to enter their respective examination center premises starting from 8:30 AM. This measure aims to alleviate public inconvenience, particularly traffic congestion, around the exam centers.
According to a notification issued by the Education Board, center in-charges have been specifically requested to make arrangements for examinees to enter the premises from 8:30 AM. This is intended to "ease traffic congestion and public suffering around the HSC exam centers."
The notification clarified that all other existing guidelines regarding entry into examination halls will remain unchanged. This directive is applicable to all centers operating under the Dhaka Education Board, and relevant authorities have been duly informed.
The HSC and equivalent examinations for 2025 commenced on June 26. While the general rule for examinees is to be in their seats at least 30 minutes before the exam begins (which is typically 10:00 AM for morning sessions), this new directive allows for earlier entry into the premises, providing more time for students to arrive and reduce crowding at the very last minute.
