Dhaka, August 12 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) revealed on Monday that the oral examinations for another 2,792 candidates who cleared the written test of the 48th Special BCS, designated for recruiting doctors, will take place from August 24 to September 10. These viva sessions will begin daily at 10:00 AM at the PSC’s main office in Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, as per the official schedule.
The notification follows the announcement of the 48th Special BCS on May 29, and the written (MCQ) examination was held on July 20. Among the 41,025 examinees, a total of 5,206 passed the written test, including 4,695 candidates for the Assistant Surgeon posts and 511 for the Assistant Dental Surgeon posts. The oral examinations commenced on August 6. Through this recruitment process, the government plans to appoint a total of 3,000 doctors.
For the examination format, the PSC clarified that the total marks for the 48th Special BCS is 300—comprising 200 marks for the MCQ-based written test and 100 marks for the oral exam.
