DHAKA, June 27, (V7N) – The National University has restructured the ad-hoc committees of all its affiliated colleges and educational institutions, removing vice-chancellors, pro-vice chancellors, and treasurers of public universities from these roles.

In their place, individuals from other professions with a strong reputation for promoting education have been appointed to these positions, according to a notification issued yesterday by Md Abdul Hai Siddique Sarkar, College Inspector for the National University.

The notification specifies that vice-chancellors, pro-vice chancellors, and treasurers from public and other universities who previously served as presidents or honorary members of existing ad-hoc committees or governing bodies of colleges and educational institutions have been replaced. Various respected individuals, including presidents of the concerned educational institutions, have been nominated to serve as presidents or honorary members.

Principals have been instructed to ensure that these newly nominated individuals effectively carry out their responsibilities. Furthermore, principals of the colleges and educational institutions under the National University have been requested to refrain from proposing the names of vice-chancellors, pro-vice chancellors, and treasurers of public and other universities for the posts of president and honorary members of ad-hoc committees and governing bodies in private colleges and educational institutions.
