Dhaka, Mar 19 (V7N) — Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is not staying at the state guest house Jamuna ahead of Eid; he is currently residing comfortably at his Gulshan residence.
The Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon confirmed this after visiting Jamuna on Thursday afternoon.
Rumon said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will meet and exchange greetings with people from all walks of life at Jamuna on the morning of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. Final preparations are underway at the guest house for the occasion, which includes vibrant decorations for the festive day.
Officials said that in addition to ordinary citizens, diplomats and prominent public figures from various countries are expected to attend the Eid greetings program. Leaders of political parties and representatives of socio-cultural organizations have also been invited to participate, ensuring a wide representation for the Prime Minister’s annual Eid reception.
