Dhaka, Nov 13 (V7N)- The government has appointed Professor Ali Riaz, vice-chairman of the recently dissolved National Consensus Commission, as the Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor.
A notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Thursday (November 13) confirmed the appointment.
According to the notification, Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has appointed Professor Riaz as his Special Assistant. While serving in this position, he will enjoy the rank, salary, allowances, and facilities equivalent to that of an advisor.
It may be recalled that Professor Riaz previously served as the head of the Constitutional Reform Commission under the interim government formed following the July uprising. In February, he was appointed as the vice-chairman of the National Consensus Commission.
