Dhaka, Sep 24 (V7N) – Dr. Song SI Jack, a specialist physician from Singapore, has arrived in Dhaka to provide advanced treatment to three firefighters who were critically injured in the recent Tongi chemical factory fire.

Dr. Jack landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport late Tuesday night and went directly to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery at around 11:30 p.m. There, he met with the hospital’s director and attending doctors to review the condition of the injured.

During the visit, Dr. Jack also held a discussion with Professor Md. Sayedur Rahman, Special Assistant (State Minister) to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and later inspected the treatment facilities while visiting the patients.

Officials from the Fire Service and Civil Defense Department, including Lt. Colonel MA Azad Anwar, Director of Training, Planning, and Development, were also present.

It is worth noting that Dr. Jack was previously part of the Singaporean medical team that arrived in Bangladesh following the Milestone School accident.
