Dhaka, Aug 28 (V7N) – The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has clarified that the Bangladesh Army will not be involved in duties for the upcoming central student council elections of universities.

In a press release on Thursday (August 28), the ISPR stated that recent reports circulating in the media and on social platforms about army deployment for student elections are incorrect.

The release emphasized that the government has not given any instructions to the army regarding election duties, and there will be no opportunity for army involvement in the future.

The ISPR further expressed confidence that the upcoming elections will be conducted in a peaceful and festive atmosphere under the supervision of law enforcement agencies and university administrations.
