Dhaka, Aug 18 (V7N) – Principal Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has reaffirmed that the people and government of Bangladesh will continue to stand by Palestine.
He made the remarks during a meeting with the Palestinian Ambassador at the State Guest House Jamuna on Sunday (August 17).
Dr. Yunus emphasized Bangladesh’s unwavering solidarity with Palestine, expressing hope that more countries would recognize the Palestinian state in the coming days and that a viable two-state solution would ultimately be achieved.
The Palestinian Ambassador, Ramadan, expressed deep gratitude for Bangladesh’s consistent support. Highlighting the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, he said: “There is no food, no medicine—children are the biggest victims.”
The Ambassador also noted that the Bangladesh government is acting as a special assistant to Palestine, with many Bangladeshi citizens contributing funds for food and medical aid. He further urged Bangladesh to increase imports of Palestinian products as a means of economic support.
