Dhaka, Aug 18 (V7N) – A committee has been formed to review and make recommendations on the complaints of retired army, navy, and air force officers who faced discrimination, injustice, and retaliation during the period from 2001 to August 4, 2024, under the previous government.
A notification signed by Ashraful Islam, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, confirmed the formation of the committee. The information was released by the office of the Chief Adviser on Sunday.
The committee will be headed by Lieutenant General (retd) Abdul Hafiz, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Defence and National Cohesion Development. The committee’s Secretary will be the Director General of the Armed Forces Division's Administration and Logistics.
The members of the committee include Major General (retd) Muhammad Shams-ul-Huda, Major General (retd) Sheikh Pasha Habib Uddin, Rear Admiral (retd) Mohammad Shafiul Azam, Air Vice Marshal (retd) Muhammad Shafkat Ali, the Adjutant General of the Bangladesh Army, Naval Secretary of the Navy Headquarters, and Air Secretary of the Air Force Headquarters.
