Dhaka, July 23 (V7N) – Shipping and Labor and Employment Advisor Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. M Sakhawat Hossain visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Wednesday morning to personally oversee the treatment of patients injured in the Bangladesh Air Force fighter jet crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara.
During his visit, Dr. Hossain spoke with the attending doctors to inquire about the latest condition of the burn victims, including school students, teachers, and rescue personnel receiving care at CMH. He emphasized the importance of providing the best possible medical treatment and directed hospital staff to ensure all patients receive optimum care.
Describing the tragic plane crash as a deeply painful event for the nation, the Shipping Advisor expressed profound condolences to the families of the deceased and injured. He prayed for the eternal peace of those who lost their lives and wished a swift recovery for all patients.
Dr. Hossain highlighted that the interim government is providing full support to the affected families. A specialized medical team of expert doctors and nurses was swiftly brought from Singapore to assist with the advanced treatment of seriously injured burn victims.
He assured that the government will take all necessary measures to prevent such tragic accidents in the future.
Senior officials and specialist doctors of CMH accompanied the advisor during the inspection.
