Naogaon, Feb 04 (V7N) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman will visit Naogaon on Wednesday to address an election rally as part of his ongoing political tour across the country.
According to Naogaon district Jamaat Secretary and Naogaon-5 (Sadar) constituency candidate Advocate A.S.M. Sayem, the Jamaat chief is scheduled to speak at a public rally at the ATM field in the district town at 11:00 am.
Sayem said senior leaders of the 11-party alliance will accompany Dr Shafiqur Rahman during the visit. He added that preparations for the rally have been completed following an inspection of the venue.
“People across the country are seeking change, and a mass movement in favour of the ‘Scales’ symbol has already begun,” Sayem said, expressing optimism that the Naogaon rally would be successful.
He noted that supporters from all 11 upazilas of the district are expected to attend the programme and claimed that turnout could reach several hundred thousand.
During the rally, the Jamaat Ameer is expected to outline his party’s vision for a future Bangladesh, focusing on unity, prosperity and public welfare, Sayem added. He said the event aims to bring together people from different political backgrounds to work towards a united and developed nation.
District Jamaat Nayeb-Ameer Assistant Professor Mohiuddin, Assistant Secretary Nasiruddin and Sadar Upazila Ameer Advocate Abdur Rahim, among others, were present during the inspection of the rally venue.
