Application Fee Increased:
The online application fee has been raised from Tk 150 to 220, an increase of Tk 70 compared to the previous academic year.
Eligibility Based on SSC Results:
As in previous years, no admission test or lottery will be held. Admission will be based solely on SSC and equivalent examination results. However, institutions such as Notre Dame College, Dhaka, may conduct independent admission procedures.
Preference for College Selection:
Students may apply to a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 colleges or equivalent institutions. Admission will be allocated based on merit, applicable quota, and preferences listed by the student.
Quota System:
A total of 7% of seats will be reserved under quotas:
5% for children of freedom fighters only (not applicable to grandchildren).
If no eligible candidates are found under quota, the seats must be filled with general merit-based applicants.
SSC Result Reassessment Applicants:
Students whose SSC results changed due to answer script challenges may apply on August 13 and 14.
College Preference Modification:
Students can modify their college preference list on August 15.
Migration Process:
The first migration result will be published on August 28, and the second migration result on September 3.
Deadlines for Confirmation:
If a student fails to confirm their admission within the given deadline of any phase, their application will be automatically cancelled.
Centralized Admission System:
This year's admission will again be conducted centrally and online under the supervision of the Dhaka Education Board, with technical assistance from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
The new policy ensures a smoother and more flexible admission process, allowing broader access to higher secondary education and accommodating more newly eligible students due to age criteria and migration flexibility.
