Dhaka, Dec 18 (V7N) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has updated foreign embassies in Dhaka about the preparations and security arrangements for the 13th National Parliament Election and referendum.

Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam conducted an urgent briefing at the State Guest House Padma on Thursday afternoon, informing diplomats about the current situation in the country. The briefing also invited foreign observers to participate in monitoring the election, with the Election Commission welcoming their presence.

Officials confirmed that heads or representatives from most foreign missions were present, including delegations from the United States, Germany, China, Russia, Pakistan, Turkey, the United Nations, and the European Union. The briefing, which began around 3 pm, lasted about 10 minutes.

The session covered overall security measures, election preparations, and also addressed concerns regarding India’s role and behavior in the context of upcoming elections.
