Dhaka, Aug 21 (V7N) – A total of 175 Bangladeshi nationals detained at the Ganfuda Detention Center in Benghazi, Libya have been repatriated to Bangladesh with the assistance of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

They arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 6:15 am on Thursday (August 21) via Libya’s Buraq Airlines (flight UZ222).

A delegation from the Bangladesh Embassy in Tripoli, led by Ambassador Major General Abul Hasnat Muhammad Khairul Bashar, was present during the handover and departure from Libya.
