Dhaka, Feb 25 (V7N)- The Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Ghulam Parwar expressed deep concern over remarks made by President Md. Shahabuddin in a recent newspaper interview, alleging that the President violated his constitutional oath by publicly disclosing internal and confidential state matters.
In a statement on Wednesday, Mia Ghulam Parwar said that the President holds the highest constitutional office in the country, and every action and statement from this position carries immense significance for national integrity and the principles of state confidentiality.
He criticized the President’s interview, stating it undermined public trust, raised questions about constitutional continuity, and generated confusion regarding the state oath. According to the Jamaat leader, such statements are “completely incompatible with the dignity and pride of the state.”
Mia Ghulam Parwar urged the President to exercise caution, emphasizing the importance of transparency, accountability, and constitutional propriety in governance. He called on the President to make statements that respect the Constitution and law, and to safeguard the dignity and stability of the state to maintain the people’s trust in national institutions.
