Ukhia, Cox's Bazar, June 15 (V7N) – The Palangkhali Union BNP of Ukhia, Cox's Bazar, organized a protest march and rally on Saturday, June 14, at the Thaingkhali Station premises in Ukhia. The rally, presided over by Helal Uddin Member, President of Palangkhali Union BNP, saw a significant turnout of party leaders and activists.
Ukhia Upazila BNP Convener and former Upazila Chairman Sarwar Jahan Chowdhury addressed the gathering as the chief guest. Other prominent speakers included Cox's Bazar District BNP Joint Organizing Secretary MA Moktar and Ukhia Upazila BNP Member Secretary and former Vice Chairman Sultan Mahmud Chowdhury.
Among those present were Cox's Bazar District BNP member Ed. Abdul Mannan, BNP leader Ed. Rezaul Karim, Ward No. 4 BNP president Abul Kalam, Ward No. 5 BNP president Joynal Uddin Matul, and Ward No. 3 BNP president Shamsul Alam Sadagar.
Leaders from various affiliate organizations also attended, including Ukhia Upazila Volunteer Party convener Riduan Rahman, Ukhia Upazila Sramik Party general secretary Nurul Amin Member, Ukhia Upazila Chhatra Party convener Joynal Abedin, Palangkhali Union Jubo Dal president Shah Alam, Palangkhali Union Jubo Dal general secretary Mohammad Hossain Monu, BNP leader Joynal Member, and Krishak Dal leader Kamal Uddin Member.
During their speeches, the speakers strongly condemned what they described as a "conspiracy" against Shahjahan Chowdhury, a prominent and popular leader from Ukhia-Teknaf, who has been involved in local politics for over 50 years. They asserted that this alleged conspiracy stems from the certainty of his victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections. Speakers credited Shahjahan Chowdhury with all the development in Ukhia-Teknaf, emphasizing that the region remains a strong base for the BNP.
Before the rally, leaders and activists from Wards 3, 4, 5, and 6 under the jurisdiction of Palangkhali Union BNP joined the procession. The entire program was managed by Sahab Uddin, General Secretary of Palangkhali Union BNP.
