Rangamati, Aug 20 (V7N) – A debate competition on anti-corruption awareness was held at Shah Multipurpose High School in Rangamati, aiming to engage youth in the fight against corruption and promote integrity-driven values. The event brought together 40 student participants from 10 educational institutions across the city.
The final round saw a vibrant contest between Saint Treasa School and Rangamati Government Girls’ High School, with Sounam Dey earning recognition as Best Speaker for her compelling arguments.
Zubaida Akhtar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education & ICT) of Rangamati, attended the event as chief guest. Special guests included Ahmad Farhad Hossain, Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC); Md. Raju Ahmed, Assistant Director of the ACC; Omar Faruk, President of the District Corruption Prevention Committee; and General Secretary Lalit C. Chakma. The program was chaired by Md. Mojibur Rahman, Headmaster of Shah Multipurpose High School.
Speakers emphasized the need to instill anti-corruption values among students from an early age, stating that initiatives like this debate can lay the foundation for a future Bangladesh free of corruption.
At the conclusion of the event, trophies and certificates were awarded to the winners and participants in recognition of their efforts and enthusiasm.
