Pabna, Dec 22 (V7N) — Members of the Sanatan (Hindu) community in Pabna staged a protest rally and held a brief demonstration on Sunday in response to the brutal killing of Dipu Chandra Das in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh district.
The protest, organized under the banner of the Pabna Sanatan Community, took place on Sunday afternoon, December 21. The rally began at the premises of the Sri Sri Joy Kali Bari Temple and proceeded through the city’s main roads before concluding in front of the Pabna Press Club on Abdul Hamid Road, where a short gathering was held.
Addressing the gathering, Advocate Moloy Das Roy, Joint Convener of the Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Front Central Committee, along with Dipankar Sarkar Jitu, General Secretary of the Pabna District unit, and other speakers, strongly condemned the incident.
The speakers described the killing as a grave violation of human rights and the rule of law. They demanded the immediate arrest of those responsible and called for exemplary punishment through a fair and transparent investigation.
They warned that failure to ensure justice in such incidents would further undermine communal harmony and public confidence in law enforcement, urging authorities to take swift and decisive action.
