DHAKA, Feb 14, (V7N) - Chief Adviser of the Interim Government Professor Muhammad Yunus has extended warm congratulations to BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman on his party’s overwhelming majority in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election.
In a congratulatory message, Yunus described the BNP’s decisive victory as a “historic democratic transition” and a milestone for constitutional continuity, democratic consolidation, and institutional stability. He expressed confidence that Rahman’s leadership would guide Bangladesh toward stability, inclusiveness, and development, rooted in democratic values and public welfare.

Yunus emphasized that Bangladesh now stands at the threshold of new possibilities in the global arena, highlighting the importance of foresight, sound judgment, and coordinated efforts in advancing economic transformation, technological progress, climate resilience, and international diplomacy.
He also praised Rahman’s constructive role during the interim government, saying his tolerance and respect for constitutional processes helped safeguard national interests during a sensitive transition.
“Finally, I wish you every success in your endeavors to promote the welfare of the people, uphold justice and build a prosperous Bangladesh,” Yunus said, adding prayers for wisdom, patience, and steadfastness in Rahman’s service to the nation.
