Gaza, Nov 18 (V7N) – Thousands of Palestinians injured in the ongoing conflict are facing life-threatening delays in treatment as access to medical care outside Gaza remains blocked.

The healthcare system in Gaza is collapsing under the pressure of ongoing violence and severe shortages of essential supplies. Hospitals are overwhelmed, unable to accommodate the growing number of patients due to insufficient medicine, fuel, and other critical resources.

Nearly 900 patients have reportedly died after being denied transfer to medical facilities outside Gaza. Thousands more remain in urgent need of care, with estimates indicating that over 16,000 individuals are still waiting for evacuation. Many of these patients require specialized treatment unavailable within the territory.

Medical personnel report that injuries from conflict-related incidents, combined with chronic illnesses and untreated conditions, are rapidly escalating into a humanitarian emergency. Patients waiting for evacuation face critical delays, and the lack of proper care is worsening health outcomes across the region.

Health authorities warn that without immediate intervention, the situation will deteriorate further, potentially leading to even higher fatalities. There is an urgent call for international assistance to allow safe passage for patients, deliver essential medical supplies, and prevent further loss of life in Gaza.

The crisis underscores the devastating human cost of restricted medical access during conflict and the urgent need for coordinated global action to alleviate suffering.
