Tokyo, Nov 14 (V7N) – The main phase of Miss International 2025 has officially begun in Tokyo, and Bangladesh is being represented by Jessia Islam. The prestigious international beauty pageant has been hosting formal events since November 13.
The grand competition is scheduled for November 27, where Jessia will compete alongside contestants from around the world. Known for her work in the rehabilitation and education of street children, Jessia brings a strong focus on social responsibility and humanitarian causes to the stage.
In a social media post on Thursday, Jessia expressed her goal of reaching the top-20 finalists and urged fans to support her by voting through the official Miss International app.
Jessia’s journey to the international stage followed a controversy in the national pageant. Jannatul Naeem, initially declared the winner of “Lavelo Miss World Bangladesh 2017,” was later found to be married, which disqualified her from international competition. Fifteen days after the contest, Jessia, who had placed second, was officially crowned Miss World Bangladesh.
