Tehran, June 27 (V7N) – The health and whereabouts of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei have become a subject of growing speculation, as he has not been seen in public for over a week. From ordinary citizens to political leaders, questions are mounting: Is Khamenei well?

Concerns have deepened following the ceasefire between Iran and Israel. Despite this development, Khamenei has remained absent from public view, and no recent photos or videos have been posted on his official social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter).

Some international media outlets have reported claims that Khamenei might have taken refuge in a bunker since the start of Israeli attacks. According to these reports, any messages attributed to him have been shared from undisclosed locations.

A New York Times report by journalist Farnaz Fasihi, published on Wednesday (June 25), highlights how the Supreme Leader’s sudden invisibility has unsettled many Iranians. Even state media figures have begun raising questions. On Tuesday (June 24), a state television anchor openly asked a senior official in Khamenei’s office about his condition, saying, “People are very worried about the Supreme Leader. What is his condition, can you tell me?”

In response, Mehdi Fazaeli, a senior aide, avoided giving direct details about Khamenei’s health. However, he stated confidently: “Those who are in charge of protecting the Supreme Leader are doing their duty well. God willing, we will celebrate the victory with him.”

The absence of concrete information has only fueled speculation across Iran’s political and social circles. Many await any official statement or public appearance to put rumors to rest.
