Saint Petersburg, June 19 (V7N) — Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia is not pressuring any party to accept a solution regarding the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel. Instead, he emphasized that Moscow seeks to explore possible resolutions through dialogue.

Speaking at a roundtable meeting with journalists during the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum on Wednesday local time, Putin said,

“We are not forcing anything on anyone. We are merely discussing how to find a way out of this situation. Ultimately, the decision rests with the political leadership of the countries involved, especially Iran and Israel.”

In a separate but related comment reported by CNN, Putin also made clear that he is unwilling to engage in discussions about the possibility of assassinating Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

When asked about rumors or concerns surrounding such a scenario, Putin firmly responded that he would not entertain talks on the matter.

The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East as the Iran-Israel conflict continues to develop, with international powers closely monitoring the situation.

Putin’s approach underlines Russia’s position as a mediator seeking dialogue over coercion, while distancing itself from any plans targeting Iranian leadership.

The Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, a key platform for global economic and geopolitical discourse, has provided a stage for Russia to articulate its stance on the crisis and the broader regional instability.
