Tehran, June 17 (V7N) — Amid the escalating conflict with Israel, Iran has unveiled a new suicide drone, the Shahed-107. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force officially introduced the drone on Monday.

The information was confirmed by Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, which reported that the Shahed-107 is a specially designed unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) intended for suicide attacks. The drone is equipped with a piston engine and boasts a range of over 1,500 kilometers.

Defense analysts say that the introduction of the Shahed-107 marks a significant advancement in Iran’s drone capabilities. They also noted that deploying a swarm of these drones simultaneously could pose a serious challenge to Israel’s air defense systems.

Military experts believe the Shahed-107 will play a crucial role in Iran’s future military operations, particularly in asymmetric warfare and long-range precision strikes.

The unveiling of the Shahed-107 comes at a time of heightened military tensions between Iran and Israel, as both countries continue to engage in tit-for-tat strikes across the region.
