New York, July 10 (V7N) – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) delivered a stunning performance to thrash Real Madrid 4-0 in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup, securing their place in the final against Chelsea.
In the much-anticipated clash at MetLife Stadium, Luis Enrique’s PSG outclassed the Spanish giants, sealing the fate of the match within the first 24 minutes. The Parisians exposed Madrid’s defensive vulnerabilities and never looked back.
PSG took the lead in the 6th minute, capitalizing on a defensive blunder by Raul Asensio, with Fabian Ruiz netting the opener. Just three minutes later, Ousmane Dembélé doubled the lead, exploiting another costly mistake—this time from Antonio Rüdiger.
In the 24th minute, Ruiz struck again to register his second goal of the night, giving PSG a commanding 3-0 lead heading into halftime. Real Madrid, expected to be the favorites, found themselves shell-shocked and struggling to cope with PSG’s high press and fast-paced attacks.
The second half began with some intent from Real, and they even had the ball in the net in the 47th minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Despite efforts from Vinícius Jr. and Kylian Mbappé, neither forward managed to make an impact.
PSG sealed their dominant performance with a late goal in the 88th minute by Gonçalo Ramos, who slotted home from close range to make it 4-0 and officially end Real’s campaign.
With this emphatic victory, PSG advances to the final, where they will face Chelsea on July 14 for the coveted Club World Cup title.
