HR Stadium, June 30 (V7N) — Among the four Brazilian clubs competing in the FIFA Club World Cup, Flamengo stood out as the best-performing side. However, on Sunday night, Bayern Munich ended their impressive run by defeating them 4-2 to secure a place in the quarterfinals.

The match, held at the Hard Rock Stadium, started with Flamengo taking an early advantage, leading 2-0. However, the tide quickly turned as Bayern mounted a strong comeback.

At the 6th minute, Flamengo suffered a setback with an own goal that brought Bayern back into contention. Just three minutes later, at the 9th minute, Bayern’s star striker Harry Kane scored a spectacular long-range left-footed goal to level the score.

The momentum then shifted decisively in favor of Bayern Munich, who capitalized on Flamengo’s defensive lapses to secure their victory and advance further in the tournament.

Flamengo’s performance was commendable, showcasing the strength of Brazilian club football on the international stage. Yet, Bayern’s experience and tactical prowess proved too strong in a thrilling encounter.
