Comilla, Feb 05 (V7N) — Hasnat Abdullah, Chief Organizer of the National Citizens Party (NCP) for the southern region and the 11-party alliance-backed candidate in Comilla-4 constituency, has vowed to practice politics funded solely by public support, rejecting any form of immoral benefit, lobbying, or undue influence—even from his own relatives.
Hasnat made the remarks while addressing an election rally of the ‘Shapla Kali’ symbol at the Khairabad High School ground in Jafarganj Union of Debidwar Upazila on Thursday (February 5) afternoon.
He said people are coming forward to support him with the goal of establishing transparent and accountable politics. “If anyone believes that by spending money in the election they will gain benefits later, they are mistaken,” he said, adding that no one—including his relatives—will be spared when it comes to upholding law and justice.
Criticizing entrenched political practices, Hasnat alleged that opportunistic groups have fragmented themselves across multiple political parties to maintain influence through tender manipulation and extortion. “One brother is in one party, another brother is in another party—whichever party comes to power enjoys the benefits,” he said.
Warning against the continuation of such practices, Hasnat asserted that this culture will not be allowed to continue if he is elected.
