Dhaka, Dec 22 (V7N)- Bangladesh National Party (BNP) has welcomed Syed Ehsanul Huda, who dissolved his own party and joined BNP along with his leaders and activists. The joining ceremony took place at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan on Monday afternoon.

Huda formally joined the party by presenting flowers to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

It has been learned that Syed Ehsanul Huda will contest the upcoming 13th National Parliament election from Kishoreganj-5 constituency using the party’s symbol of a sheaf of rice.

Congratulating the newcomers, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul said their joining will further strengthen the party. Syed Ehsanul Huda commented that BNP is a party rooted in nationalist ideals, and emphasized that the country is progressing towards democracy during a critical time.

BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan was also present at the ceremony.
