Dhaka, Nov 17 (V7N) – BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the entire nation is waiting for the verdict in the case against ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, accused of committing crimes against humanity during the July–August mass uprising.
Posting from his verified Facebook account at 10:15 am on Monday, Mirza Fakhrul wrote:
“The verdict in the case against Sheikh Hasina will be announced in Dhaka within a few hours. I hope a fair trial consistent with international standards will be ensured. The nation is waiting!”
He added, “Mughd, Wasim, Abu Sayeed and many others are waiting! The future Bangladesh is waiting.”
He also shared a poster displaying victims of the July–August uprising.
