Dhaka, Nov 15 (V7N) — National Citizens Party (NCP) Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain has said that the two major political parties have brought the upcoming referendum to the forefront to ensure fair pricing and reforms in agricultural products. He warned that those who reject the referendum mandate will face rejection by the people.
He made the remarks at a program organized by the NCP’s Krishibid Wing at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.
Akhtar Hossain called on the government to clarify ambiguities regarding the implementation of the July Charter Order and urged political parties to cooperate in ensuring peaceful elections. He also cautioned that even after a coup, state administration could instill fear through conflicts and disputes if proper measures are not taken.
