Dhaka, Oct 24 (V7N) — The National Citizens Party (NCP) has dismissed rumors regarding the resignation of its Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari. The party termed the news as completely false and baseless.
In a press release signed by NCP Joint Member Secretary (Office) Saleh Uddin Sifat around 2 a.m. on Thursday, the party clarified that Patwari remains actively involved with the organization.
“Nasiruddin Patwari is with us. He recently served as the party’s registration officer at the Election Commission and continues to perform his duties as Chief Coordinator, overseeing various wings of the party. The reports of his resignation or dismissal are not true,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, Senior Joint Chief Coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud also confirmed the matter on his verified Facebook account, writing, “The news about the resignation of NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari is nothing but a rumor. I strongly condemn such false and baseless reporting.”
Earlier, several media outlets reported Patwari’s alleged resignation shortly after midnight on Thursday, citing NCP sources. The claim quickly spread across social media before being denied by the party.
