Dhaka, Sep 24 (V7N) – BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that the BNP has no relations with the allies of the ruling Awami League, urging party leaders and activists to remain alert so that those allies do not change their stance.

He made the remarks on Wednesday morning while paying homage at the tomb of martyred President Ziaur Rahman along with newly elected leaders of the Pirojpur district BNP.

Rizvi criticized the interim government, saying that if it had demonstrated efficiency in New York, “the allies of fascism” would not have dared to carry out activities abroad. He alleged that inaction by the authorities has emboldened Awami League-aligned groups to operate both at home and on foreign soil.

Turning to corruption, Rizvi accused the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of failing to recover laundered money or prosecute those responsible. “The ACC is not visible; it is working as an infidel,” he said.

He also dismissed reports that BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir had been insulted in New York, calling them false and baseless propaganda.

Warning of continued conspiracies, Rizvi called for unity among BNP leaders and activists and emphasized the need to strengthen the party from the grassroots so that people “vote for the symbol of paddy sheaf.”

Accusing Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of presiding over a “terrible fascist misrule,” Rizvi said that conspiracies and “master plans” are still underway. He concluded by invoking the memory of those killed in the July movement, urging that their sacrifices must not go in vain.
