Dhaka, Sep 1 (V7N) – The physical condition of People’s Rights Council President Nurul Haque Nur has improved, and he has been transferred from the ICU to a cabin at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
DMCH Director Brig. J. Md. Asaduzzaman confirmed Nur’s transfer on Monday (September 1), noting that his recovery is progressing well.
Nur was seriously injured on Friday night (August 29) during a clash between leaders and activists of the Jatiya Party and the People’s Rights Council in Bijoynagar, Dhaka. Law enforcement intervened to disperse the two sides, and several people, including Nur and General Secretary Muhammad Rashed Khan, sustained injuries in the lathicharge.
He was initially admitted to Islami Bank Hospital before being transferred to DMCH’s emergency department later that night on doctors’ advice.
