Dhaka, Aug 16 (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee member Abdul Moin Khan has criticized the 2008 national election, calling it planned and unfair. He made the remarks during a discussion and prayer meeting at the National Press Club on Saturday (August 16).
Abdul Moin Khan alleged that the Awami League has systematically damaged the country, including the education system. He also claimed that during Sheikh Hasina’s tenure, cases were filed against approximately 5 million BNP leaders and activists. “The people of the country never accepted such hegemony at that time,” he added.
Regarding the upcoming election, the BNP leader expressed hope that the Election Commission would announce the schedule and give a confirmed date, noting that the interim government has already stated that the election will be held in February.
