Dhaka, Aug 01 (V7N) – National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam visited Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at a hospital in the capital on Thursday evening, where the veteran leader is undergoing treatment following a heart attack.

Nahid was accompanied by NCP Senior Joint Convener Ariful Islam Adeeb. During the visit, the NCP delegation inquired about Dr. Shafiqur Rahman's health condition and conveyed their best wishes for his swift and full recovery.

According to sources within the party, doctors have diagnosed Dr. Shafiqur Rahman with significant blockages in three major coronary arteries. His treatment is currently ongoing under close medical supervision.

The visit reflects a gesture of political solidarity and concern during a critical moment for the Jamaat-e-Islami chief, who remains a key figure in the country's political landscape.
