Dhaka, July 25 (V7N) – BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy has raised serious concerns over the activities of the current interim government, expressing doubt about whether its advisors are fulfilling their responsibilities effectively.
He made these remarks on Friday morning while visiting the family of Nusrat Jahan Anika, a third-grade student who tragically lost her life in the Milestone School and College plane crash in Uttara, Dhaka.
Gayeshwar criticized the lack of transparency, stating, “Even now, no official statement has come from the Air Force regarding the Milestone crash.” He questioned why a training aircraft was flown over a densely populated civilian area, calling it a matter of grave concern.
He further urged authorities to investigate whether there was any negligence on the part of the Milestone College administration, adding that the public deserves a clear explanation.
The accident, which occurred on Monday, has so far claimed 31 lives, most of them children. The incident has sparked nationwide mourning and calls for accountability.
