DHAKA, Mar 12, (V7N) – The government has taken steps to make the transfer process of MPO‑listed teachers at private schools and colleges more transparent and dynamic by verifying the workplaces of their spouses through the Finance Ministry’s Integrated Budget and Accounting System (iBAS++) software.
The information was disclosed in a notification signed today by Senior Assistant Secretary Sirin Akter of the Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education.
According to the notification, the “Transfer Policy for MPO‑listed teachers working in private educational institutions (Schools and Colleges)‑2026” has been issued, and an online transfer system will soon be launched with technical support from Teletalk Bangladesh Limited.
Under Clause 3.8 (ga) of the policy, the workplace of a teacher’s spouse—whether in government, semi‑government, autonomous organizations, or MPO‑listed institutions—will be considered on a priority basis in transfer decisions.
To ensure transparency and prevent misinformation, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has been instructed to establish an API connection with the iBAS++ system, enabling verification of government employees’ information using NID numbers.
Officials said the initiative aims to streamline teacher transfers, reduce irregularities, and ensure fairness in the process.
